The company manufactures products for all the traditional architectural ap- plications as well as industrial profiles of specific standards for the automotive, shipbuilding, transportation, etc indus- tries. Having developed sales networks in 45 countries on 4 continents, the company has established itself as one of the largest and most reliable aluminum extrusion industries, while also produc- ing additional products (composite foils J-Bond, polycarbonate, automation sys- tems, shading, etc).
Its production facilities are spread out in Kilkis, Serres, Komotini, Xanthi, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Bosnia, Albania and Sko- pje. It has 26 subsidiaries, 20 of which are abroad (Europe, Balkans and the Middle East). Today, in the markets of Southeast Europe, ALUMIL has the largest retail net- work with 70 owned centers and service warehouses. The further strengthening of its presence abroad, especially in the Gulf region, Russia and the USA, consti-
tutes one of the key components of the strategic development plan of the Alumil Group. It should be noted that the Group retains a dominant position in the sector of architectural aluminum systems in the markets of Romania, Serbia, Albania, Cyprus, Bosnia, Hungary, Poland, Egypt, Turkey, the Baltic States, Russia, Dubai etc.
The company has been awarded prizes for its contribution to the European economic growth and has become an associate member of the European Aluminum As- sociation in recognition of its significant offer in the design, production and distri- bution of architectural aluminum systems as well as profiles for industrial use.
In 2010, focusing on foreign markets alongside its investments in Greece, the company engaged in a massive invest- ment program of 7.5 million euros in order to further enhance its extroversion. Spe- cifically it proceeded to invest more than 5 million on the subsidiary ALUMIL ROM INDUSTRY in Bucharest, the subsidiary ALUMIL YU INDUSTRY and its subsid-
iary company ALPRO AD, the subsidiary ALUMIL ALBANIA ALUMIL KOSOVO, the subsidiary ALUMIL BULGARIA and the subsidiary ALUMIL SRB.
During the year 2010 the group recorded a slight decrease of 3.5% in its turnover which stood at 202.6 million euros, while EBITDA presented a significant improve- ment by 25.9% reaching 21.3 million euros, while pre-tax losses fell to 168 thousand euros from 5.8 million in 2009.
The year 2011 started with increased sales of 98.3 million, compared with 95.1 mil- lion, while operating profits (before inter- est, taxes, depreciation and amortization, EBITDA) stood at 5.8 million euros from 9.7 million in the first half of 2010. The loss before taxes amounted to 5.4 million. The course of the results is attributed
to the reduction in building activity in Greece and the increased financial costs due to interest rates.
